In this week’s To Do This Weekend, we feature the FALL FIRE FRIDAY FEST! at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, Gretchen Shae & The Middle Eight at Faces Brewing Co. in Malden, the Boston Palestine Film Festival at various venues throughout the city, and many other exciting events.

On Friday, October 13, head to the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge for the FALL FIRE FRIDAY FEST, a music festival featuring the release of a new single from Crow Follow, as well as performances by Boston music veterans Emily Grogan and Girl With a Hawk.If you’re in the mood for something heavier, check out the metal show at OBriens in Allston, featuring Iron Gag, Choke, Narc, Razed, and Rüe.
On Saturday, October 14, catch the Watertown Zine Fest at the Watertown Free Public Library. Zines are self-published magazines on a variety of topics, and this festival is a great chance to browse and purchase unique zines from local creators. Later that day, head to the Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain for a night of live music featuring Son of a Gun, The Legendary Brewmasters, The Ballbusters, and Linwood Strange.
On Sunday, October 15, be sure to check out the 2023 Boston Palestine Film Festival, which is taking place at various venues throughout the city. The festival features a diverse lineup of films that explore Palestinian culture, history, and politics.
