The Occupied Nation Show Monday, May 22nd, 2023: Beware of Crisis Pregnancy Centers

The Occupied Nation Show Monday, May 22nd, 2023: Beware of Crisis Pregnancy Centers

Host – Patrick Wilson

Co-Hosts – Rhodes Pierre and David Concepcion

Guest: Nicole Sullivan

This week on the Occupied Nation Show we have a conversation with our guest Nicole Sullivan about Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Bostons Fake Clinics, as well as the two bills in the Massachusetts legislature to decriminalize/ legalize prostitution!
Beware of crisis pregnancy centers in Massachusetts

Crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) are non-profit organizations that aim to provide support and resources to pregnant women, but they are often criticized for misleading women about their options and pressuring them to carry their pregnancies to term.

CPCs often use deceptive advertising to make it seem like they are abortion clinics. They may use names and logos that are similar to those of abortion clinics, or they may advertise free pregnancy tests or ultrasounds. Once women arrive at CPCs, they are often subjected to counseling sessions that are designed to persuade them to keep their pregnancies. CPCs may also provide inaccurate or misleading information about abortion, such as telling women that abortion is dangerous or that it will lead to infertility.

If you are pregnant and are considering your options, it is important to be aware of CPCs and to do your research before seeking help from any organization. You can find a list of licensed abortion providers in Massachusetts on the website of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Here are some tips for spotting a CPC:

  • They may use names or logos that are similar to those of abortion clinics.
  • They may advertise free pregnancy tests or ultrasounds.
  • They may pressure you to keep your pregnancy.
  • They may provide inaccurate or misleading information about abortion.

If you are unsure whether an organization is a CPC, you can always call the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to verify their licensing status.

The Occupied Nation Show airs first on Activate Radio Monday Nights at 7PM ET.

SPECIAL! Int’l Uranium Film Festival: Libbe’s Report from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Host: Libbe HaLevy

Nuclear Hotseat is a weekly radio show that explores the nuclear industry from a critical perspective. The show is hosted by Libbe HaLevy, a nuclear activist and author. It can be heard at 8PM Wednesday nights on Activate Radio activatemedia.org.

In each episode, HaLevy interviews experts and activists about the nuclear industry. They discuss a wide range of topics, including the safety of nuclear power, the environmental impact of nuclear waste, and the economics of nuclear energy.

Tonight: SPECIAL! Int’l Uranium Film Festival: Libbe’s Report from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Nuclear Hotseat producer/host Libbe HaLevy has traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to cover the 12th annual International Uranium Film Festival. The IUFF is the only place on earth that presents films focused solely on issues of the entire nuclear fuel chain, from uranium mining to reactors to bombs to nowhere to safely store the highly radioactive waste that results for the necessary quarter of a million years. But these film stories from around the world are told in human terms – with artistry, a quirky sense of humor when possible, and unabashed emotional responses to the terrible radiation truths that have been forced upon the innocent.

INTERVIEWS:

  • IUFF Founder/Director Norbert Suchanek

  • Julian Vogel (Scotland/Sweden), Director, MISSION: ICBM

  • Miguel Silviera (Brazil/US), Director, DEVIL’S WORK

Nuclear Hotseat is a thought-provoking and informative show that challenges the status quo on nuclear energy. The show is a must-listen for anyone who is interested in learning more about the nuclear industry.

Nuclear Hotseat is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the nuclear industry. The show is informative, thought-provoking, and challenging. If you are interested in learning more about all things nuclear, then you should definitely check out Nuclear Hotseat.
