Roxbury Unity Parade Celebrates Black Culture and Community
The Roxbury Unity Parade is a annual event that celebrates the neighborhood of Roxbury, Black culture, and the contributions of Black people to the city of Boston. The parade will be held on July 16, 2023, at 1:00 pm, beginning at building 7 at Madison Park High School and ending at Jim Rice Field.
The parade route will take participants along Malcolm X Boulevard, Washington Street, Dudley Street, Warren Street, and Melnea Cass Boulevard.
After the parade, there will be a HoodFest, Empowerment Resource Fair, and Open Market at Jim Rice Field from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The HoodFest will feature live music, food, and vendors. The Empowerment Resource Fair will provide information on resources available to the community, and the Open Market will offer a variety of goods for sale.
