While the summer months may have seen a temporary lull, personal circumstances have provided a unique opportunity for reflection and reinvention. We’re excited to unveil a clear vision for the future of Activate Media, and at the heart of this transformation is the relaunch of Activate Radio.

A Brief Overview of Activate Media and Activate Radio

For those unfamiliar, Activate Media is a community-driven platform dedicated to fostering dialogue, promoting social justice, and amplifying marginalized voices. Activate Radio, its flagship initiative, is a 24/7 online radio station broadcasting a diverse range of content, from local news and activism to independent music.

Why Relaunch?

The decision to relaunch Activate Radio is rooted in a deep-seated belief in its potential to serve as a powerful force for positive change. In recent years, the media landscape has evolved dramatically, and Activate Media aims to adapt and thrive in this new environment. By leveraging technology and embracing innovative approaches, we seek to create a more engaging, accessible, and impactful platform.

The Path to Relaunch

A Brief History of Activate Radio

Activate Radio’s journey began in December 2011 as Occupy Boston Radio. Despite facing challenges, the station persevered and evolved into Activate Radio in 2013. Over the years, it has become a vital source of news, music, and community engagement.
