The 114th NAACP National Convention: Thriving Together, is being held in Boston this weekend, July 26-Aug 1st, 2023.
The 114th NAACP National Convention is taking place this weekend in Boston, Massachusetts. The convention will run from July 26-Aug 1st, 2023, and will be hosted at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
The theme of the convention is “Thriving Together”, and the event will focus on issues of racial justice, voting rights, economic empowerment, and education.
The schedule for the convention includes a variety of panels, workshops, and speakers. Some of the most prominent speakers at the convention include:
- Kamala Harris, Vice-President of the United States
- Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State
- James Clyburn, Assistant Democratic Leader at US House
- Ayanna Pressley, United States Representative from Massachusetts
- Justin Jones, United States Representative from Tennessee
- Shavon Arline-Bradley, President and CEO of the National Council of Negro Women
- Gary Chambers, social justice advocate
- Bishop Vashti McKenzie, author and minister
- Rome Flynn, actor
- Sheryl Underwood, comedian and television host
In addition to the speakers, the convention will also feature a number of other events, including a cultural festival, and a job fair.
The NAACP National Convention is a major event in the fight for racial justice. The convention brings together activists, leaders, and everyday people to discuss the issues facing the Black community and to work together to create a more just and equitable society.
