Ian Hunter & Ian Anderson Come To Non Visual RadioFriday Night From 8-9 p.m. on www.activatemedia.org

By Ed Wrobleski

Host Joe Viglione talks to two great legendary british classic rock artists the first being Ian Hunter of the group Mott The Hoople who scored a huge hit with David Bowie’s penned single “All the young dudes”, the group also had a chance to record but passed on Bowie’s “”Suffragette City”, but Hunter didn’t think the track was good enough for the band and passed on it.

Hunter will talk about his career with Mott the Hoople along with his successful solo career which has been very fruitful for him throughout his career as a songwriter writing but also recording two huge hits one for Barry Manilow which is the tune “Ships”, also the song “Once bitten twice shy” which was actually recorded twice in the 1980s first by teen heart throb Shaun Cassidy which landed on his last album “Wasp” produced by Todd Rundgren, but the hit for this rockin’ track would come a little later on in the eighties for the group Great White. Hunter’s solo career also has landed him a few big tunes for himself including his 2012 single “When I’m President”, and then in 2016 a track he wrote in honor of his friend David Bowie for his passing “Dandy” lead off track on his album Fingers Crossed and also made coolest song in the world for a few weeks on Little Steven’s Underground Garage radio show.

Ian is currently out on tour with his mates of Mott the Hooople playing close to if not sold out shows in the venues he’s been appearing at.
